Corfu is the northern most island in thw Ionian Sea and the western most part of Greece. It is a beautiful, extremely green island with olive and cypress trees everywhere on the island.
Corfu has something for everyone whether you want to dance the night away or sit at a magical harbor in wonderment at the beautiful surroundings.
Although tourism has had a massive impact on certain resorts in Corfu, you are still able to see the old way of life which has remained untouched for decades.
A fantastic way to do this is by hiring a jeep and disappearing into the mountains to explore the traditional corfiot villages and mingling with the hospitable locals.

There are loads of places to visit and things to do whilst you are in Corfu
• A visit to Corfu Town is a must with lots of reminders of Corfu’s history with Venetian, French and British architecture, Byzantine Churches, Archeological Museums, Palaces, the old and new fortresses, a wide variety of shops where you can find the ideal gifts or reminders of your visit to Corfu and wonderful jewellers’ with unique and sometimes elaborate jewellery.
• The Liston (Corfu Town) where once, only the noble families inscribed in the Libro d’Oro could promenade
• St Spyridon Church – beloved saint of Corfu and the reason why so many men and boys are named Spyros
• Mon Repos Palace – situated just outside town on the road towards Kanoni. Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh was born here. Main house surrounded by a beautiful park.
• Kanoni. Pondikonisi or mouse island as it is commonly known situated in the bay on one of the routes for arrival/departure in Corfu
• Vlacherna Monastery situated in Kanoni next to Mouse Island and linked to the mainland by a narrow causeway
• Achilleon Palace situated in Gastouri built by Princess Elizabeth of Austria in 1887. The palace was named after her greek hero, Achilles.
• Kalami/Koloura situated on the north east coast of Corfu where Gerald Durrell reputedly based his 3 books based on his memories of his time in Corfu.
• Kassiopi – a charming fishing village situated on the north east coast of Corfu
• Kaminaki situated on the north coast of Corfu. A fantastic clean sandy beach for families with small children.
• Mount Pantokrator the highest mountain in Corfu measuring 906 metres above sea level and situated in the north of the island close to the enchanting village of Perithia
• Saint Spyridon situated on the north coast of Corfu. Lovely beach and a popular area for wildlife enthusiasts and birdwatchers
• Paleokastritsa situated on the north west coast of Corfu and is thought to be one of the most beautiful and picturesque resorts in Corfu boasting 4 or 5 outstanding bays with the most amazing blue-green waters
• Lake Korrission situated in the south west of Corfu is a large, shallow lake ideal for relaxing or fantastic for birdwatchers and lovers of nature.
